It’s nearly here!
West Lakes Annual fun Companion Dog Show is this coming Sunday the 4th of October and we’re all very excited!
Well, because the companion show is a really fun thing to do with your dog! There are lots of different categories you can enter.
Let’s say you’re a pedigree dog, well, you can enter best puppy, adult or veteran and you will be judged on how well you meet your own breed standard by our fabulous breed judge Jamie Briant. You can also enter classes for cross breeds, or non pedigree (if you are a specific breed, but don’t have your papers).
Maybe you’re a dog who’s not a fan of being judged for your looks, but you’re really clever? We have classes for you too! Show off your obedience skills for our judges in one of our classes ranging from starters to clever clogs.
Still not for you? Maybe you’re just a fun guy with a really waggy tail? There are lots of fun classes to enter too! Including have-a-go agility and flyball. These are judged by the very lovely Marion, from our local pet shop in Egremont.
There are lots of lovely rosettes and trophies to win. As well as fabulous treats and prizes donated by a whole host of amazing sponsors.

What’s more, all the money raised goes towards the club’s chosen charities, which this year, are Animal Concern West and Hounds for Heroes.

Entries are taken from 10am and judging starts at 11am. All classes cost £1 and there is no limit on how many you can enter. There is parking at the venue, or at the nearby beach car park.
