Happy Howlidays!

New Year’s eve and we hope that everyone has had a good festive break.

I’m sure there were a fair few spoilt West Lakeland Dog Training Club members with stockings brimming full of treats and toys and maybe the people got one or two things too!

As usual we celebrated the end of another year’s training at Egremont with a Christmas party for the dogs, organised this year by Mary. Thank you Mary! A great time was had be all as usual and of course, we never get overly competitive when playing the team games. Especially not as there are sweets involved. John’s team valiantly managed not to gloat too much after their third win.

Unfortunately someone forgot to bring their proper camera, so we have less photos than usual, but here is a few dogs in silly costumes, for your amusement. Don’t worry, we only torture them like this once a year.

We also had a meal at the Calder hotel in Seascale, just for the people and it was lovely to see new members attending that. Thank you John for organising. Joanne also organised a boxing day fun competition for the agility side of things. Photos for both of those have been in the Club Newsletter and on Facebook.

Classes start back on 4th January with the new Foundation class beginning then too at the usual time of 6.30pm.

Why not take these last few days to think about your training goals for the year? The trainers will be implementing a new suggestion box, so anything you want to work on during classes can be put in there.

Happy New Year everyone!
